CONCERT ANA KRAVANJA AND SAMO KUTIN: CUMULUS SPORES
29 August, 23.00

Palača Besenghi degli Ughi/Besenghi degli Ughi Palace, Gregorčičeva ulica 76

Ana Kravanja in Samo Kutin have for many years now been a mainstay of the creative music scene in Slovenia, a scene brimming with new creative expressions in the fields of imaginary folk, alternative rock, experimental music and free improvisation. They are constructing their soundscapes with musical rigour and exceptional congruence. They place each note exactly where it belongs in what resembles the structure of ancient fairy tales where each element has a role and a meaning and which fit Ana’s and Samo’s music like a glove. Organised by Kino Otok.

Entrance fee: 5 €. Seats are limited, we accept reservations at blagajna@isolacinema.org.

Federico Fellini Through the Lens of Paul Ronald, a photography exhibition

After settling in Italy at a very young age as a still photographer, Raul Ronald went on to collaborate with some of the most renowned Italian directors. As his admirer, Fellini invited him to work on 8½. Ronald was on the set throughout the filming and, being in sync with the director’s creative vision, produced an amazing result. The exhibition evokes the atmosphere on the set through the yet unpublished photographs from Ronald’s personal archive held by Antonio Maraldi of the Cesena Film Centre, revealing the genesis of Fellini’s masterpiece. Organised by Peter Martinc Culture Society and the Italian community ‘Santorio Santorio’ Koper in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Slovenia.

The exhibition will be on display up to and including 29 August.
